Before we dive in, let’s chat about those pesky self-doubt pot holes we can fall into. Things like playing the comparison game to chasing down perfection, we’ve all been there. And recognising these pot holes is the first step to rewriting our stories.

1. Own Your Uniqueness:

Time to show off those quirks! Your uniqueness is your superpower, so let’s own it and let it shine.  It’s what makes you YOU! 

2. Small Wins, Big Cheers My Dear

  • Whether it’s nailing a project or just getting out of bed on a tough day, let’s celebrate those wins. The small steps forward and moments of progress, or positive outcomes all add up to an epic success story!

3. Real Talk Goals for Your Growth

  • Forget those unattainable goals. Let’s set ourselves up for success with real, achievable goals for personal growth. Remember, it’s all about progress, not perfection and when you focus on that, the more progress you’ll find and the greater success you’ll have, and the more joy you will experience, simply by shifting your focus.

4. Show Yourself Some Love

  • Be your own biggest fan and cheerleader. I know that might feel a bit cringey, or like you’re big-upping yourself, but it’s not. You don’t have to shout it from the rooftops, but you do need to give yourself a shout-out. It’s nobody else’s job to do it for you and if you can’t learn to love and accept yourself, then it won’t really matter how hard anyone else is cheering for you anyway, because you probably won’t let it in.

    Practice a bit of love and self-compassion like it’s your daily ritual, because you deserve it and will help you thrive instead if merely surviving and going through the motions of life.

  • Daily affirmations are like little love notes to yourself. Let’s boost that positive self-perception with some daily pick-me-ups and practice it as often as possible.

2. Positive Vibes Only:

  • Surround yourself with those good vibes. Positive influences and empowering relationships are like sunshine for your soul. It’s not about false or toxic positivity, you can be sad, mad or frustrated, but just don’t hang out there for too long. Find your cheer squad, your team of inspiration and motivation and get around it daily for your benefit.

As we take control of our life stories, it’s not about erasing the past and you can’t change what has already happened, but you can change your present and the future just by upgrading how you think and feel about yourself now. Embrace your unique self, quirks and all! Celebrate your wins and see your failures as progress. Set realistic goals that set you up for success, rather than making them so unattainable you’ll never reach it.
